Vision and Values
Our School Vision
Our school Vision is based around the idea of Learning, Caring and Growing together.
We take this to mean that we aim for three key things for children at Highampton Primary School:
- For our children to be given an excellent education alongside their peers in their small village community.
- For our children to be educated and supported to be good, happy, caring members of the local community.
- For children to be given the opportunity to be global citizens given a wide range of opportunities.
Values
In accordance with The Department for Education we also aim to actively promote British values (or Human Values) in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
The Key Values are:
- democracy
- rule of law
- individual liberty
- mutual respect
- tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
